On March 7th 2008, in preparation for building work at the school, the demolition men moved in and started work on the range of outbuildings at the eastern end of Winteringham Primary School playground. First to go in double-quick time was the old bikeshed, at one time dedicated to the boys (the girls had a similar one at the opposite end of the school).  Then came the brick and tile buildings which were original to the school eighty years earlier.
