Snowy November 2010 The weekend of 27th - 28th November 2010 saw temperatures plummet to their lowest for many years, with one place in Wales recording -17°! Winteringham got down to -8° accompanied by 4 to 5 inches of snow. Ken was on hand to record the before and after!
Before the snow came ... workmen were busy lowering kerbs, relaying footpaths and drives on Southside. Work progressed well despite the sharp frost .... But Saturday dawned, with Winteringham under a blanket of snow - here on School Road. A lone starling, sits on a wire feeling the cold And Ken’s back garden takes on a white mantle Southside looks bleak! Then on Sunday, more snow blew in, here in School Road .... and became fiercer as shown in this shot at the junction of School Road and South Side. And when the sun set, it painted the village an eerie pink!
