harvest while the grain is dry. Below, two views of Hewde Lane - known locally as “Sutton’s Hill” - one from the top and one from the bottom.
This part of Hewde Lane was once known as ‘Puddingpoke Lane’ due to the rumour that it was haunted by a puddingpoke ... a ghost! Let us know if you can spot one in the photo!
