Did a medieval horse lose this harness decoration, then trample it into the soil where it would remain until the Scunthorpe Metal Detecting Club have just unearthed it? We’ll never know the answer to that mystery ... just one of the questions posed by a varied selection of finds by the club, which also raised £24 for Winteringham Church. Thanks to John Sawyer for permission to detect on his land.
