Saturday morning, 28th September 2008, and the “Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness” sees a misty morning before a gloriously sunny afternoon, with the familiar chinking of milk bottles on the milk lorry, and the otherwise eerie silence of a foggy morning on School Road and at Gate End.

March 15th 2008, and after a week of gales, rain, and occasional bright periods, Winteringham had a morning of calm ... and fog! Here’s Sutton’s farm buildings on Hewde Lane on Saturday 15th March, as captured by Ken.

It’s summer 2005, and there’s a fog over Winteringham. These beautifully ethereal photographs were taken by Ken Jacobs (top to bottom) at the Haven, of the Pong Shop on Waterside, a tractor in Hewde Lane, and a spider’s web.
