Church Tower Open Day 2005

Easter Monday 2005 saw Winteringham Church tower opened up for anyone intrepid enough to climb to the top, and peer over the side!

“Tower Climb” it says ... and if you look carefully you’ll see people on top of the tower in this photograph.

“We’re on the way up!”  Three adventurous Winteringham young ladies set off up the tower ... have you seen the height of each step?

Enjoying a commanding view of the marsh, Beacon Hill, and the western end of the village, these five also have time to smile for Ken’s camera.

The beauty of the church is enhanced by these lovely flower displays, above and below.

Organisers also sold flowers and cakes, all picked, arranged, or cooked with love and care by villagers.
